Let me continue on my trip to Europe! You can read the review about the Emirates Airline and Dubai Airport.
You don't see this often in Hong Kong! A police tank right outside the airport |
We took the 179 bus to Dejvicka. It cost about 32CZK (1 Euro) for 90 mins ride. Since we needed to exchange to metro to go to our train, it was ideally to get the 90mins ticket. Approximately, 20 mins bus ride we got off at Dejvicka station where the metro was and took the train to Muzeum.
You can purchase the tickets in any Tabak shop (newspaper, cigarette stands). All metro stations will also provide tickets. Remember to punch in when you get on the bus or entering the metro to start the timing. I personally, got asked by the staff to show them my ticket so, if you don't want to get fined & get caught. It isn't expensive anyway comparing the price in Hong Kong MTR & the time length.

A little incident happened after we got off in Muzeum. We got lost in finding our hotel. It took us 2 hours later from asking people who didn't exactly gave us the right direction down to looking on google map! Hurray for Google! But it was all good and fun. This is what being a tourist is for! You get lost and find your direction and in the end you give yourself a pat on the shoulder for doing a good job. During that time you get to see more and experience what locals do in the area.
2 hours later at 5:30pm we were exhausted and hungry with our heavy luggages. We finally found our hotel! We stayed at the Park Inn Hotel for 5 days 4 nights. When we got in we checked in our rooms. The guys there was really nice and spoke good English! Surprisingly, they were TWINS! It was very cute to look at them thinking in your mind if you were hallucinating. I guess many guests coming in and out thought the same thing.

As you can tell from the Google map above the hotel is quite far away from the bustling tourist attraction. Most of the tourist attraction places will be in Praha 1 & I was staying in Praha 2. During the night around the place was very calm, quite and not crowded. It was just less than 5 mins walk to the Vltava River.
After settling our stuffs we needed to get some daily utilities and our nearest Tesco store was across the Vltava River. It took about 15-20 minutes walk there which wasn't bad at all. Just walk along the Vltava River, Raslinhovo Nabrezi to Palackeho Most and across the bridge to the other side then keep walking down on Lidicka til you meet Stefanikova. You will be in a cross road. There will be 2 malls. Find the one where Tesco is located in.
Inside the mall we asked around for SIM card but we were out of luck! Most Europe pre-paid sim cards only provide local services. If you are leaving the country you will have to buy another SIM card. It wasn't worth it for us as there are plenty of Free Wifi spots in Prague, Czech Republic. In the end, we just grabbed a chicken wrap for dinner that night since we were starving!
Ending my arrival day in the lovely city Prague, Czech Republic I took some sun set shots along the Vltava River.
